Let's get one thing straight: Overlanders and campers account for the vast majority of sales of 12V refrigerators. These fellas plan to hit the highway for an extended period of time. And if that's your lifestyle, dropping a couple grand on a 12V fridge will pay for itself in food savings alone, not to mention the money you'll save on solar and DC power systems. However, a high-end cooler isn't necessary for everyone.
