I would like to hear from people who have started or have been running their own business online for a long time. Where did you start, how and what did you do, what tools did you use for this?

I think you won't hear much advice here. Everyone may have a different business and different needs. For example, I work for a service company. I take on different projects, even the most complex ones. Now I’m thinking about presenting a new project.
