Title: What can i buy for a christening gift?

i am going to a christening this sunday,i am a god mother,got my suit out and some new boots,
but i dont know what to buy her,silver stuff seems a waste of money,ie,bangles,money box,
i am going to give her a cheque,but feel i aught to but something as well,
anyone any ideas???:help:
