Again and again we are approached by potential clients who want nothing more than the chains of their existing system to escape and find a better system for document management system. They are frustrated by the functionality of their old system, interface design, and the "customer no-service."
After experiencing the drawbacks of existing systems, they are easily attracted to a user-centered design, wide range of solutions, and is supported by the benefit of everyone in the organization, particularly the support department.

Unfortunately, the transition to a new management system is not always an easy process. Many online document management systems in line on the market today are designed for bulk import of documents to support, while completely ignoring files support exporters and supporting data.
There are several reasons why companies need the ability to convert a document management system  besides simply unhappy with the application. Many of the examples of others who have influenced our clients include mergers, sales document at the end of a project, a permanent archive to other media formats, selling an online business, and much more.

With the flexibility in the system to allow bulk exports is important. For clients and prospects problems converting their existing systems of property, this warning comes too late.
But for anyone in this market research solutions, I had some warning signs warn to watch for that could lead to problems down the road:

1. Storing documents with file extensions that differ from their original application.
2. Requirements of the database back-end products outside the traditional relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and MySQL.
3. Stores data in a database, flat file "and" system.
4. Proprietary compression or encryption techniques are used.
5. The product does not offer an API (Application Programming Interface) or SDK (Software Developer Toolkit).
6. Technology integrated image viewer that using non-standard file formats are displayed.
7. Bulk export tools are not integrated into the base product.
