Brief Itinerary

Kaifeng --- The guide picks you up from the hotel at about 7:30 in the morning and then start a colorful trip to Kaifeng, the ancient city on the southern bank of the Yellow River.

Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden --- Visit the Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, a large theme park of history and culture. It is a faithful reproduction of the Riverside Scene in Pure Brightness, which is the masterpiece of Chinese drawings created by artist Zhang Zeduan during Song Dynasty. It depicts the ancient Kaifeng in detail, offering an insight into the social milieu of the day. Covered by trees and flowers and filled with the ancient sounds of bell and drum, the entire landscape garden unfolds a lifelike picture of the ancient times.

Have a typical Chinese lunch. Then continue the tour.

Memorial Temple of Lord Bao --- Explore the Lord Bao Memorial Temple, a typical ancient architectural complex with style imitating that of the Song Dynasty. It was established to commemorate Lord Bao who fought courageously and unyieldingly against corrupt officials and protected ordinary people from being exploited.

Iron Pagoda --- Appreciate the Iron Pagoda. With a history of more than nine hundred years, it looks very much like a huge wooden pillar, with carved patterns of Buddhas, flowers, human figures and legendary animals, all representing the highly developed workmanship of the Song Dynasty. It got its name from the iron-gray color of its glazed bricks.
