Fainting is a temporary loss of consciousness that is retrieved automatically after a short period of time only. Down people faint due to lack of blood flow and oxygen to the brain. Can be the cause of fainting a number of conditions or situations, some involving the heart, and many do not. The medical term for fainting is syncope (sin ku Paul).
