Gugulipid or guggul, is a natural substance derived from the mukul myrrh tree. Mukul myrrh exude a sticky resin that is processed into gugulipid. This extract has been used for thousands of years in medicine to treat obesity and arthritis Aryuvedic. Recently, herbalists started recommending gugulipid not only for these conditions, but low-density lipoprotein (LDL) forms of cholesterol and increase high density lipoprotein (HDL).
