SQL Date Data Types
MySQL have the following data types
These data types are used to storing a date or a date/time value in the database tables:
•   DATE - format YYYY-MM-DD
•   DATETIME - format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS
•   TIMESTAMP - format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS
•   YEAR - format YYYY or YY
SQL Server have the following data types
These data types are used to storing a date or a date/time value in the database tables:
•   DATE - format YYYY-MM-DD
•   DATETIME - format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS
•   SMALLDATETIME - format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS
•   TIMESTAMP - format: a unique number
When you create a new column in the database that time you can use these data types.
