For some families US immigration process to be eased

The government said on Friday it plans to reduce the time that United States (US) citizens are separated from spouses and children who have been in the country illegally and who are forced to leave for as long as 10 years while their visa requests are processed.

The purpose of the new process is to reduce the time that US families remain separated while their relative proceeds through the immigrant visa process,' US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) said in its announcement.
