Citizenship in US can either be acquired by birth or through naturalization process. For naturalization you need to file the completely filled Form N-400. In order to be eligible to file you should be at least of 18 years of age and a green card holder in the US who has continuous physical residence of minimum 5 years. In order to apply for US citizenship you need to file completed INS N 400 form along with the fee. Form N-400 filing fee is $595.Additionally $85 biometric fee and totals to $680, where applicable. No fee is required for military applicants filing under Section 328 and 329 of the INA. Applicants 75 years of age or older are not charged a biometric fee.

The length of time for the entire process depends on the number of U.S. Citizenship applications the USCIS offices receive in each state. Additionally, making a mistake on your application can cost you even more time. However, by using our unique do-it-yourself service, you will be assisted throughout the entire process — helping you prevent costly mistakes to your application.
