If your Outlook PST file is corrupted or damaged, you may experience issues such as missing emails, slow performance, or error messages. Here are the steps to repair Outlook PST:
Open the Microsoft Outlook Inbox Repair Tool (Scanpst.exe). The location of this tool varies depending on your Outlook version and operating system, but you can usually find it in the following locations:
For Outlook 2019 and Office 365: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\
For Outlook 2016: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\
For Outlook 2013: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\
For Outlook 2010: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\
Once you have located the Scanpst.exe file, double-click to open it.
In the "Enter the name of the file you want to scan" field, enter the path to the PST file that you want to repair or use the Browse button to locate the file.
Click the "Start" button to begin the scan. The scan may take several minutes, depending on the size of your PST file.
After the scan is complete, the Inbox Repair Tool will display a message indicating whether errors were found in the file. If errors are found, click the "Repair" button to fix them.
Once the repair process is complete, open Outlook and check to see if the issues have been resolved.
