Rambus Memory, also known as Rambus Dynamic Random Access Memory (RDRAM), was an innovative memory technology introduced in the late 1990s. Developed by Rambus Inc., it aimed to deliver higher data transfer rates and improved performance compared to traditional SDRAM.
Key Features of Rambus Memory:

  • Offered significantly higher bandwidth, making it ideal for performance-driven applications.
  • Frequently used in Intel's Pentium 4 processors and gaming consoles like the PlayStation 2.
Despite its technological advantages, RDRAM faced several challenges that limited its widespread adoption.
