What Are the Duties Of A Day care Center Director?
« on: September 09, 2009, 10:11:10 PM »
Running a day care center entails a lot of responsibilities. Of course, as the director, he is charge of a number of children. He should prevent conflicts that you may have with this  job and with other parents. This is why a director needs to know their responsibilities in order to  be able to run a day care center smoothly.

A director is someone must prioritize the welfare of the children. He must be able to put the children first before anything else. He should also have the skills in the proper way of handling a day care center that will be beneficial for the children. It is not just about the business, but he also need to put in mind the proper care that will be given to the children,

A director should be able to make decisions that will be appropriate for the best interest of the children. They director should always be able to provide reasons and justifications for making such decisions. This is why a he is hired to be the director because he is able to make decisions that work for both the customers and the day care business.

A director is someone which the company can trust. He is in charge of some of the day care center’s assets and he should be able to use them only for the company’s interest and purpose. These assets may be tempting to use for personal use, but a director should always be able to control the temptation. Even if he is in charge, he is not entitled to abuse his power. He is the only one who is in charge of making decision but should always provide just decisions. Accepting bribery is also not part of a director’s job. He should only make decisions based on what it right and not based on its amount.

The director is usually in charge of the finances of a day care center. He should always make sure that each account is managed properly. Borrowing money from the company is a big no as a director. Even if he is in charge of the finances and has access to these accounts, a director should always have someone to do bookkeeping on the finances of the day care center. If there should be loans that must be made, the director is the one in charge for this. Usually, before these loans are approved, they must know where the money is going. You need to provide a clear financial plans to make sure that these loaning companies will see where you will use the  money.

A director’s job basically means responsibility. A director is someone who will be in charge of the whole day care business. He should be competent enough to make the right decisions when it comes to handling the day care business. He has responsibilities such as fiduciary, statutory, skill, care and diligence duties. All of these work for the best interest of the day care center and never for the personal interest of the director.
