How to make personalized Xbox 360 controllers
« on: December 04, 2013, 03:31:28 AM »

Personalizing game console and controller as an extension hobby of gamer, is a part of the experience of playing. Some stores and online outlets offer themed controllers. However, you may prefer to paint your Xbox 360 consoles as you like, customize it just needing a few simple steps.

1.   Make a simple design for your controller. The design does not have to be too specific, just an outline of what you want to paint.
2.   Disassemble your controller using the screwdriver (six screws on the back of the device and a seventh at the bottom of the battery case), and wipe down the shell with your cloth.
3.   Remove the joysticks, D-pad, shoulder buttons, Xbox 360 logo button, start and select buttons, and the four colored action buttons.(Lightly sand down the outside of the controller to remove some of the gloss)
4.   Lay down the newspaper before putting down the base coat of paint with the aerosol paint can. Then cover the areas that will feature the base color with masking tape.
5.   Continue applying coats of paint according to the pattern or design you came up with. Allow the controller to dry for at least one minute before applying the next coat. Use the brush you appropriated from a model kit to add greater detail to the controller
6.   Spray the colored plastic paint on the controller in light coats so as to not smear the paint or create unattractive air bubbles. It’s better to apply a clear sealant over the coats of paint.
7.   Allow the controller to dry for about 24 hours ,at least several hours, but preferably several days. After the paint has finished drying, you can reassemble your controller.
