Do not workout more than four times per week. If your workouts are providing an appropriate challenge, then your body is going to need restful periods to repair and recuperate in between exercise sessions. Working out a lot more than you can handle could injure your body, making it counterproductive in the end. Adjust your diet to make sure you are getting what your muscles need. For example, building muscles requires plenty of protein and carbs and only certain fats. It doesn't mean you can eat whatever you want. It means that you should eat a balanced diet that fuels your workouts. Consider using a protein supplement and taking vitamins for faster muscle growth. Even if you do not relish the concept of being bulky, giving your muscles a good workout can be beneficial to your life, in general. A more toned physique will boost your confidence, give you more energy, and keep your body healthy. When paired with a cardio workout, muscle building can even help to strengthen your lungs.
